ATI Data Management Training 2nd successful batch
TOWN OF TRECE MARTIRES, Cavite (PIA) – Twenty livestock technicians and several staff members of ATI-Calabarzon have successfully graduated from the second training group on data management for livestock extension agents initiated by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CALABARZON.
Held at the ATI IV-A Training Hall, the 3-day training from August 17 to 19, the said training aimed to expand the importance of data management, data privacy and introduce the concept of Philippines Animal Industry Management Information or PhilAIMIS (DA Livestock Agencies Central Repository Database and Knowledge Portal) for CALABARZON Livestock Technicians.
The 3-day training focused on the importance of data protection law and the purpose of PhilAIMIS, including the correct implementation of data management, data analysis and practical activities on using the Pentaho application for data cleaning and transformation.
Additionally, participants learned the concept and key principles of data privacy law to protect personal information and communication systems in the private and government sectors.
Ms. Sherylou C. Alfaro, Superintendent of Training Center 1 of ATI IV-A Region reminded participants of the importance of performing data management in their respective agencies and urged them to practice what they have learned during the 3 day training.
